The Answers You Need

WHAT AGES WOULD WE RECOMMEND FOR OUR PARTIES AND EVENTS?

We recommend ages 3 to 7 years old. If your child is younger than 3 years of age, they may be too young to participate in party games and activities.

HOW FAR DO WE TRAVEL?

The As You Wish ... Princess Party performers will travel up to 15 miles outside Times Square. Any parties outside the 15 mile radius will require an additional travel fee of $40 per performer.

WHAT IF I DON'T SEE THE CHARACTER I WANT?

We are always adding new characters! If you request a character we don't have on our website, we may have them. However, if you request a character that we don't currently have, we will happily order them for your event! To ensure your favorite character, we recommend booking your event at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Please note that all parties and events are reserved on a "first come, first serve" basis. Your character request is based on availability and is not always guaranteed.

WHAT VENUES WILL WE ENTERTAIN AT?

We perform at most children party venues, but please keep in mind that some venues have their own guidelines and restrictions. Please check to see if your venue allows outside entertainment to perform before booking with us.

WILL YOU PERFORM OUTDOORS?

We do! however, if you are planning an outdoor event, always have a backup plan incase of bad weather. Because of our expensive wigs and costumes, we will not be able to do an outdoor party if the temperature is above 90 degrees or below 50 degrees. Our performers require a clean, dry, and free of dirt and mud place to perform. Please let us know when booking your reservation if your event is outside so we can make proper preparations.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A GUEST BECOMES ILL, UPSET, OR MISBEHAVES?

Our performers are not babysitters. We are responsible only for entertaining and engaging the children in party activities. Any behavior or health issues with children must be taken care of by a parent, guardian, or party host.

DOES IT MATTER HOW MANY GUESTS I INVITE?

Our party packages are designed with about 15 small guests (including the birthday child) in mind. This is to ensure that all activities can be carried out within the allotted time, that we have enough materials for all the guests at the party, and that all the children have quality time with the princess or fairytale character.

WHAT IF A GUEST ARRIVES LATE?

All parties will begin and end at the scheduled and agreed upon time by The As You Wish... Princess Parties company and the party host. We recommend having our performers arrive about 20-30 minutes after the guests arrival time to ensure that everyone is present and has had time to settle in. Late guests are welcome to join in upon their arrival.

WHAT DOES THE PERFORMER BRING TO THE EVENT/ PARTY?

Our performers bring with them everything that is needed to carry out the activities included in your ordered package. Each package is different so we will bring the appropriate items for each event. We provide our own storybook for story time and tiara for the birthday child.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR THE PARTY?

The As You Wish... Princess Party company *DOES NOT* supply food, beverages, or supplies for eating or decorating. We will sing Happy Birthday with your child and be around for food/ cake, but we do not provide any food ourselves nor will we partake in enjoying them.

We also *DO NOT* provide any speaker/ music. Our sing a longs and singing performances will be a cappella. This is due to keep the magic alive. Princesses don't have cellphones and we don't want to risk the children seeing us with them! If you would like to provide music / speakers, feel free to! We also ask that you be mindful in providing our performer with an appropriate space to carry out all activities that you have chosen in your package. We also ask you supply a chair for our performer to sit in while starting story time with the children.

HOW CAN MY CHILD OR PARTY BE FEATURED ON THE AS YOU WISH... PRINCESS PARTIES SOCIAL MEDIA?

We are always looking for pictures to fill out our photo gallery, and all social media! With permission from the child's parent/ guardian and by signing our party agreement, you consent to our using any photos you choose to send us. The As You Wish... Princess Parties company will not be taking any of our own photos during your event.

WHAT IS OUR CANCELLATION/ RESCHEDULING POLICY?

We understand that life happens, so if you have an emergency and need to reschedule the date or time of your event after booking, we will try to accommodate you as best we can and will apply your initial payment to another date/time as a one time courtesy. Any and all changes to date and/ or time must occur at least 7 days prior to your event. Any changes made after that time will result in cancellation. An event can only be rescheduled once.

In the event of bad weather, serious illness, or unforeseen emergencies , we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer an alternative date if available. If cancellation by The As You Wish... Princess Parties Company occurs, a full refund of your payment will be issued. If You choose to cancel a party due to any reason, as long as its at least 14 days prior to your event, you will receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made within 14 days prior to the event, a refund of 50% of your initial payment will be issued. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF PAYMENT ISN'T PAID BEFORE THE PARTY DATE?

If payment isn't sent, either half of the deposit or full amount, As You Wish Princess Parties has the right to cancel the party. Once the party is cancelled after no payment, the party coordinator would need to resubmit a party request and need to pay in full that day.

DO YOUR PRINCESSES ACCEPT GRATUITY?

Absolutely ! Our performers are trained to embody each character they play. They are also trained to make sure each event is a success. Gratuity is a great way of letting your princess or fairytale character know that you loved their performance. While it is not expected, it is always greatly appreciated.

COVID-19

All of our performers are vaccinated! We don't wear masks when we are in character. We require that all guests be vaccinated and/ or have taken a covid test before the party/ event.
